Objective: In a group of two, we made a data logger device to monitor controllers of solar-powered submersible pumps.  The device would log the timing and duration of pump use, the amount of water being pumped, and energy expenditure by the pumps, and the solar intensity during the usage period. 

Approach: This device begins collecting and recording data as soon as the pump is activated, and it continues to gather information the entire period of usage. A water flow sensor reads the amount of water pumped, and another sensor detects the amount of solar energy expended during this period.  When the pump is turned off, the device sends the collected data to the server.
