Interactive Artwork
Objective: Light system that detects human presence and turns on respective spotlights towards portions of wall art, based on where the viewer is standing.
Approach: This project uses Arduino as the microcontroller, which controls an array of ultrasonic sensors and relay switches to turn on/off the AC lights upon detection of personal presence.
Basically, what it is, is an automatic light-up system for artworks. The light shines upon the artworks whenever someone passes by them. It uses an array of ultrasound sensors to detect the presence of whoever is near, which leads to light being shined upon the artwork they are nearest to. The system uses an Arduino as the microcontroller, which controls the sensors and relay switches which are used to control the lights.
