Highfive Glass Project
Objective: This device uses four sharp IRs to create a multi-directional high precision sensor system to obtain the coordinates of hands on both sides of a glass screen. Once the both hands are detected to be at the same location on opposite sides of the glass, it triggers the coffee machine to pour coffee. This project was done for Nestlé Bangladesh Limited, as a marketing initiative for Valentine’s Day for couples.
Approach: I developed the circuit design of a coffee trigger device to send time-frequency signals to the existing motherboard of a coffee machine. I also assembled the entire apparatus that consisted of Arduino Pro Mini, Acrylic Glass, IR sensors, transistors, and relays.
